Course Schedule & Curriculum Breakdown
Block 1: HSI Medic First Aid / CPR AED for Adults (3 Hours)
The morning session focuses entirely on basic life support for adult patients, focusing on the critical timeline of cardiac arrest and airway management.
The HSI Chain of Survival: Recognizing an emergency, activating EMS, executing early high-quality CPR, and rapid defibrillation.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Mechanics:
Compressions: Developing muscle memory for proper depth (2 to 2.4 inches) and rate (100 to 120 compressions per minute) to maintain coronary perfusion pressure.
